About Us

Kripa Social Welfare Society (KSWS), founded in 1972, started its activities in community health sector and uplift of women and children. KSWS also started a large network of non-formal education centres in rural areas and provided scholarship to poor rural children and encouraged them to attend schooling. Kripa also had helped the poor and the socially marginalized by building their houses and digging hundreds of wells through food for work programmes. KSWS was registered as a voluntary agency under the society Registration Act 1973 on 28th December 1992. Since then, KSWS has been helping the poor to liberate themselves from socio-economic backwardness. Kripa has also contributed significantly to the education promotion in villages by providing food support to eleven boarding schools in Shajapur, Rajgarh and Ujjain districts.  Though the major focus of KSWS work has been rural development, it has also worked among the urban poor on issues related to mobilisation, empowerment, functionalizing public service delivery systems, community health, education and other associated sectors.
